Installation of work in the maze walkway and radiotherapy treatment room at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The works were made in careful consultation with patients and staff during free form workshops. We discussed colour, subject matter, as well as the types of emotions which present during treatment; anxiety, feeling intimidating by the machines, as well as a philosophical sense of journeying came up in these sessions. Patients navigate the long walkway before entering into the treatment room which can feel disorientating and intimidating. I used the feedback to inform the work and to help enhance the patient experience, creating a calm and relaxing space in which to travel through. Each image is a one of a kind made at locations across Scotland using my medium format camera, mostly Kodak Portra and Kodak Ektachrome film to create the soft pastel colours. The film is then drum scanned to achieve a really high resolution before going to print.
